At Anneke Venter Occupational Therapy we serve the following teen groups:
- Empowering healthy teenagers (13 years and older) with practical, yet scientific, tools to manage and reduce existing stress and anxiety. The aim would be to prevent burnout, anxiety disorders or depression, which is the end result of long-term unmanaged stress and anxiety.
- Empowering teenagers (13 years and older) who are at risk for developing anxiety disorders or depression (teenagers already showing signs of chronic stress and anxiety), with practical tools that will help them cope better. The aim would be to help them not develop an anxiety disorder or depression.
- Assisting teenagers (13 years and older) who are diagnosed with mental illness to understand their illness and master tools that could help them heal and prevent future acute episodes.
